Tara's nice, you don't hear it too often, and it's got a nice Irish origin (from "Teamhair na RÃ," meaning "the seat of kings" - so "Tara" roughly means "queen"). Your last name, if you're an actress, I can understand how that would be less fashionable. (You don't want to be "a bunch of hooey" - like you've never heard that one before!) "Covell" sounds lovely, and it's a good combination of consonants in relation to your first name (a good, strong initial "t" sound, with a soft "r," and a strong "c" sound with a soft "v" and "l").
Personally, if I were able to rename myself, I would go in a more fantasy kind of direction. I would choose a name that sounds nice, but is either a non-existant name (like "Seri" or something) or an uncommon name (like "Azhure"). I would play with alternating consonants and vowels that I think sound or look nice until I came to a name I liked.
As for a last name, I've always been fascinated by mine - we have run into a few relatives here and there that share our last name, and we have a family tree that a nice German man sent over to us, but there's no crest, there's no history, and - to my knowledge - there's no meaning to our last name. It's intriguing to me, and honestly I think I'd keep it.It sounds nice - a bit boring to my ears since I've heard it said so many times, but generally nice. When in doubt, try some baby name books or websites.

I think my perfect name would have been: Alexander Johanson, lol. Had I been a girl, the perfect name for me would be: Elysse Glasgow, sounds awesome, lol.
I like my real first and last name. (Dana Ludeking) but I tend to get social anxieties or Post traumatic stress feelings when my name is used in public.. So I always prefer being refered to as my username/screen name DNatureofDTrain but also my sister gave me the nickname Casey Jones after the railroader I reminded her of.. And I was gonna drop the nickname.. But my Grandpa's last wish before he died was to keep the name Casey Jones ... And my religion is Heinzism .. So I recently chose as my new pen name "Casey Jones Heinzism" ,,, or Casey Heinzism ... As then my last name would further support my religion.. As well as remind me to stay to my spiritual values.. and hearing the name Casey or Casey Jones would just remind of Trains or my grandpas loving smile as he wish he had nicknamed me that first :) .. But.. I am called many names.. to so its hard to choose just one name that I would make legally my own if I changed it. My biological sister has 5 middle names.. I could see myself adding DNatureofDTrain as my real middle name too lol.. But the handwriting cramps of signing Casey Jones DNatureofDTrain Heinzism would be crazy lol.. :).

I like both my first and last name, at least now. I didn't like my maiden name, Veatch. I was "screech" way before Dustin Diamond was even though of.
If I changed my name at this point it would be to Birkenstock Blue Sky so my son's friends would be justified in calling me an old hippie. (But you can call me Birkie). I like the stage name.
Keep Tara--it's unique and romantic! You could be one of those one-name celebrities...
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
