Picture this being in addition to your mother, instead, or in another life of yours. I admire many TV mothers, especially Sally Field (Nora Walker) on Brothers and Sisters (there are so many other TV mothers but I am watching this show now so this question to ask you all popped in my head). I am looking forward to seeing you favorite TV mothers and possibly going down memory lane.

I would pick Joan Clever. (Barbara Billingsley) "Leave it to Beaver. " I thought that Mrs. Joan Clever, the mother on the tv show..."Leave it to Beaver." was an excellent mother.

She raised her boys to be honest, caring and to use their manners. I also thought she was a hard working mother. She ironed, cooked dinner and cleaned the home.

The other tv mothers hardly ever did household chores. She educated them daily, and loved them dearly. Everyday, Mrs. Clever kissed her husband and children good-bye while she would hand them their paper bag lunch.

She reminded them of their behavior and gave them advice at the end of the staircase. Just as my mother did. After every incident that occurred, she would communicate with her husband, Ward.

They would then call the child out to the living room, and they would discuss the issue privately. I remember my mother being like her, as she was pretty, very reserved, intelligent and wore skirts. My mother had a wonderful life takingy reco care of her children, she is now taking care of her grandkids the same way. My father was an attorney, so my mom stayed home to make sure that all seven children had a proper upbringing.

I remember when me and my brother found a frog dead on the street. We brought it home, and mom put it in a box and we had a real funeral for it. Another good one was when I got into my first fist fight, I came home all scruffy.

My parents sat me down and discussed the incident and punishment with me. After the meeting, they both took me to the girls home, and I had to apologize in person for beating her up. I also had to pay for a new pair of glasses for her.

I remember crying from embarrassment. I didn’t make it on the girls softball team, and I came home in tears. My mother quickly pointed out the good things that I was able to do.

Just as Joan Clever would have done. When I had my stroke at age 30. My mother was sitting by my bedside for seven days waiting for me to respond.

She was very supportive of me and of my recovery, as she never gave up hope. She cried for days. I tried to talk to her, just couldn’t get my words to come out.

I could hear everything around me, I just wished that I could have told her not to worry so much. I remember my first words.. "Nutty, I am! " That’s how I got that nickname, a nurse would joke around with me daily.

She was used the word nutty all the time, and I actually thought she was calling me that! My mom has always been there for me, my entire life. She never let me down, as she bathe me, comforted me, and shared her thoughts with me.

Each day she would reminded me, that it was only temporary...not permanent. She prayed nightly, and told me that I meant the world to her! Just as Joan CLever would have done!

Lorelai Gilmore Lorelai Gilmore from "Gilmore Girls" would totally be my pick. She's quick, sassy, sexy, compassionate, intelligent, and caring. Plus she really cares about being a good mom and being there for her family.

And her sense of humor and love of pop culture would make us buddies. My Back-Up Moms include: Claire Huxtable (The Cosby Show) - talk about having a grounded, intelligent, confident mom who would kick butt for me at a moment's notice! (or kick my butt when it needs it!) Allison Dubois (Medium) - she's understanding, supportive, and caring.

And she's involved in her kids' lives big-time. Plus the whole psychic thing means that she's got my back in case danger ever comes my way. Morticia Addams Apart from being spooky and gothy :-) Morticia was always poised, calm, collected, and full of grace. Soft and well spoken, and elegant. I love my mother to death, but it would have been nice to be Morticia's daughter as well.

Morticia Addams, no kidding! Besides being a hot mommy, she modeled a loving, healthy marriage for her kids. She was calm, loving, and non-judgemental.

She accepted her family members for who they were, and supported them in their individuality. She also had a fabulous design sense. Well I thought about Endora but I’m afraid that she would turn me into a frog. Kate Bradley might be a good choice because she raised three wonderful daughters with only Uncle Joe for help. I think though if I were going to have to pick one it would be Mrs. C from “Happy Days.”

She was cool but not too cool and she always seemed to take Ritchie’s side when Howard was off on a tangent. Yep, I’ll take Marion Cunningham. Maybe we can mix in a little of Doris Roberts for the cooking.

" "Intellectual Relationships" "I'm looking for an old made for tv movie where a man has superpowers and is trying to find his mother. He keeps hav....." "Do you think women beyond childbearing age have a right to be a mother if they choose to?

Do we need to change the way we designate relationships -- mother, grandfather, cousin, etc.

I'm looking for an old made for tv movie where a man has superpowers and is trying to find his mother. He keeps hav.....

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
