If you could inherit one super power but lose a sense in return, what would you choose?

My super power would be to be able to hear selectively whatever I want from however far away and through however many intervening surfaces there may be. The sense I would want to lose is hearing.

I *think I would want the power to heal (but I could see how that might get out of hand)I'd give up my sense of smell.. I don't think I really have much of one anyways.

The super power I want is super strength. In my mind this would mean the ability to always be fit without worrying about working out or what I eat. I would sacrifice touch.

I love food too much to sacrifice taste or smell. I need to hear my kids sweet voices. And I really enjoy a good sunset.By the way this is an excellent question!

My son asks these type of questions at least every few months. I usually tell him that I have no idea which super power I would choose, because I really like being ordinary. Plus, everyone knows there would be too much responsibility associated with having a super power.

I can't remember all of the interesting super powers he has come up with over the years (he's 15 now), but one is having control of gravity. That would be cool, since you could use it to fly, move furniture easily, sleep on a floating bed, stop a bullet....I guess I could trade in my sense of smell...even if it dulls my sense of taste. But then hopefully I would always have someone with me who could tell me if something was burning.

Oh shoot, that would mean I could never smell patchouli again! That's not good, so maybe I should keep my smeller. I would be willing to give up the sense of touch only if it was just the fingertips.

I would hate to have no feeling anywhere in my body! You never said we couldn't negotiate our loss, so yes- loss of touch but only in the fingertips!

I rely on God's superpower. But if I had to have one, it would involve touch bringing comfort and love to others. Having said that I guess I would give up my sight as my sense of touch would make up in some way for my inability to see.

The power to heal with a touch. My sense of smell.

Easy. Always pick the super power of time control! Nothing could ever happen badly!

Just rewind it! I would probably lose my smell. I never really notice it, but when I do, it's away bad things.

I just like taste too much.

I'd pick the ability to teleport anywhere as the superpower, and would be happy to give up my sense of smell (nose is always blocked anyway! ).

As cool as super powers are, I could never willing give up any of my senses.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
