Worldwide problem...that's pretty big and tough to handle. But, if I could then I would solve the world's problem with peace. I know there are a lot already who have been doing this esp.
The missionaries, preachers, etc. They selflessly devote themselves to helping people abroad even though they know it would cost their lives. But they don't think the risks instead, they willingly submit themselves for the service of the fellow men no matter where it is. Another examples also are the Filipino soldiers who went to Haiti for the purpose of peace-keeping but some were really unfortunate because they died due to that devastating earthquake.
I myself believe that I have started solving the supposed-to-be world's problem - my kids. I can say that because my efforts of providing for my kids (food, shelter, clothing, medicine and education) are not a joke. And I think I'd be doing this in my lifetime until my kids can stand on their own feet.
That way, I have imparted in solving the world's problems. And I wish I could help more people also.
If it's a worldwide problem, then yes, I would die without regret and I would gladly do it. If I could give up my life for a cause and it won't be in vain, then I will do it. I would give up my life for the preservation of nature and fair treatment of animals.
The nature is declining fast and if I can stop it with my life then I will. Also, it breaks my heart to see so many animal suffer unnecessarily because of human greed and cruelty.
I would give my life to cure all the sick kids in the world, cancer, malaria, aids, whatever the illness.
Seeing how all these other people here are willing to give up their lives then they don't need me. So no, I would only give my life to save my children and maybe the wife.
I believe this depends a lot on how much of your life you have lived. I'm over 50, so I've lived most of my life. I'd be willing to give my life to solve the pollution of the world.
If say, an alien race came to me and said they had a device that could clean the entire earth of pollution, but I would have to come with them and let them experiment on me, and then I would die, I would do it. I know that's far fetched, but I can't see how else it could ever be done in my lifetime.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
