If you could create a new worldwide holiday what would it be? How would we celebrate it? What date?

I would call it, "Eat any food you like day" or "Free Food Day" where restaurants all over the world would give out free food to the first 100 customers who stop into their store for the day, or for every meal starting at a certain hour or meal of the day (ie. Breakfast, lunch, dinner). Anything on the menu would be FREE.

Everyone in the world would get a ticket, and it would be like a festival of some sort. Some places would have tents outside, and we would all celebrate. This would get people out to go to their favorite restaurants or try a new restaurant.

We would celebrate by getting people to go out and eat! This holiday would be the first Friday in June every year! So, this year it would be June 5th, 2009.

We could eat a delicious grilled corn on the cob!

I would create a "Search for Random Information Day". During this holiday, everyone would attempt to find and learn something completely new and different to them, (like by picking up a random book or doing a random search on a website), and then proceed to tell as many people as possible this information for the entire month. Hopefully, the citizens of our earth could become much more cultured and informed about the world around them.As for the date, January 2 would be the best choice.

Everyone will be recovered from New Years' parties and prepared to start their resolutions. What a better time to learn something new and possibly life-altering?

World Astronaut Day, 12 April - the day of first human in space. We can honor every astronaut and especially who died.

My holiday would be "St. PJ's Day". St.PJ would be the patron saint of Lounge Wear. It would be celebrated on October 3rd.

This would not be a holiday to slack off on, since being comfortable enables one to be more productive, creative and spontaneous! I think it would follow directly after Mahalo Answers Day on the calendar.

It would be in the Month of March. And it would be called 'Operation Outreach' The meaning behind it would be that every person would do something for someone else in need or just as an act of kindness. Does not have to be anything big just something to show others they are cared about.It would be fun if it could be done randomly.

I would say global sport day, each country, state, province, canton, etc. Can choose what sport to celebrate and encourage large tournaments and fair but hard competition. I would choose a day in September like the 3rd saturday or something...

I'd probably make Pi Day an official holiday. On every March 14th (3.14), you must have pie for dessert that evening, or even better, throw a pie at someone. That would probably be the best holiday in the history of ever.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
