If you had the chance to spend one week living during an earlier decade of your choice (i.e. the 50's) which one would you pick and why?

10B.C. Just to see what it was like back then. Yes I could surveve a week in those times as long as I go unnoticed. To trap food and light a fire to cook would be the same.

Then theres always the vegetarian lifestyle.

I would choose the 1980's. Even though the hair and clothing styles might have been scary, I would use the trip to wisely invest in microsoft and become the millionaire that hides within me. I would have to check the stock market to find out what stocks have done better over the long haul.

Perhaps there was one better in a different decade. Also, the 80's are nearly as scary as some of the other decades that feature economic depressions, war, disco or other frightening prospects.

I would like to relive a week of the 1970s. Looking back on it, this was an awesome decade. Yet, while it was here we did not appreciate it.

We sulked around all the time, complaining that we were too young to enjoy the hippie movement of the 1960s. The 1970s was the heyday of classic rock. Let's not spoil that by mentioning disco!

I don't have a cell phone today, so that would be no problem. The Internet did exist in the 1970s, but the www did not. It would also be fascinating to go back there and see, knowing what I know now, just how much people were able to do on the Internet of that time.

I think they could e-mail and text each other, and that is about it.

I've always been fascinated with the Great Gatsby and the roaring 20's. Provided I had a tremendous amount of money for the week, I think I'd be okay. Yes, living without modern tech would be a little difficult, but the rich didn't live a life back then that was necessarily lower quality than what we have now.

They still had amazing architecture, amazing food, and the cars make up for their lack of convenience with their charm.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
