If you had the choice, would you rather be a stay-at-home-mom or?

I have had ( and do) have a choice. It is this simple..............when my hubby needs me....I am therewhen my children do, I am there. Serve the greater need........it is material things.

Does my child need braces, that our insurancewon't pay for?.........take a jobdoes my child need a "girl scout" mom.......do thatI am among the fortunate.......some motherswork just to feed........do not make light of them. They pay great dues........Swimming pools, autos, TV's , stereos, cell phones.......arenot necessary for survival. Each mom will pay a price.

She will NOT pay it to me. At the end of the day, I like havingsomething that is "mine", even if it is little.

Both! In this day and age with places such as Hubpages that is entirely possible. I stayed at home and raised my daughter and found ways to earn a paycheck from home during that time.No reason one has to give up one for the other.

Both for me as well! I plan on taking some time off when I have babies, then working part-time while they're in school. I know that for me it's difficult to stay happy and motivated if I don't have a clear schedule and a place to be out of the house each morning.

I also find my career incredibly fulfilling--and I know I'll find raising kids to be fulfilling too! I can't imagine picking one over the other, especially if I have the luxury of working only the hours when the kids are in school. Personally, I'd get bored staying at home with an empty house--but before then, I'll want to be home a lot to tend the little ones.

I can only speak from my experience. I have had the priviledge of being a stay at home mom and I feel that it has contributed greatly to my childrens' happiness and well being. But I was truly given a gift when my husband and I started working together at an online marketing business that let us work from home and gave us financial investment education at the same time.

This gave us an income and the ability to let our money work for us. So I never had to choose, I just do both at home.

I would say stay at home untill your baby is at lest in full time school because yoo may find it hard to part with your baby at lest when your chiled has 2 go to school yool have the feedum to be abel to work.

I am a stay at home mom of 3 full time school kids. I love being able to be involved in the different activities that my kids are in, from gymnastics, wrestling, basketball, baseball, soccor, swiming and of course school. But I am very lucky to have a husband that makes good money and is able to support us and everything the kids want and need.

But if I had to I would go and find a job.

At this point I'd remain a SAHM. I don't miss anything, and with my youngest getting older (she is 1-1/2 now), it allows me to have a bit more time to focus on writing and artwork, two of my passions since childhood. Sometimes I do sell paintings, or copies of the children's book I wrote, or articles & poetry, so I still make some extra money.

Obviously, it's not as much as if I were working 40 hours per week, but as I mentioned, I don't miss anything --- and I think that years from now I will look back and thank God(dess? ) that I made the choice that I have...

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
