Given the choice of an animal in the wild or an animal in a first rate zoo, I would choose the zoo. And I would choose the San Diego Zoo. It's where I'd want to be!
Life in the wild offers freedom but at a great cost. Ideally, if reincarnated as an animal, I would like to be a cat or dog. Not just any cat or dog but one that is loved, pampered, and cherished by it's owner.
I could definitely handle that lifestyle.
I would prefer to live in the wild. I don't think animals actually enjoy being in captivaty even if it is a first rate zoo. It's against all their instincts.
Sure it's safer but they don't get to do what nature intended them to do.
In the wild-the other is like a human spending his life in Prison.
Great question! Although I can see the safety and care advantages of life in a first rate zoo, I would definitely prefer to live my life in the wild. Sure, it would be much more dangerous, but it would also be more exciting and authentic.
Even though my life may be shorter by living it in nature, I think it would be much more fulfilling. I feel sorry for some of the animals when I go to the zoo, and I wonder if they crave freedom.
Those who trade liberty for security end up getting neither. I would choose living in the wild, roaming free, and doing what nature enabled me to do, in nature. The security of a guaranteed meal and artificial shelter would not be worth the thrill of hunting, foraging for food, competing naturally for a mate, or howling at the moon in the open savannah.
On the other hand, the zoo would be the only place where I would be guaranteed safety from humans hunting me, killing me, or destroying my habitat. So, I would choose the zoo.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
