If you start a birth control pill on the day your period starts, will your period end for that month?

I'm hoping it will end by tomorrow or the next day because I really don't want to have to go through a whole week of this. Asked by karebear2007 48 months ago Similar questions: start birth control pill day period starts end month Health.

Nope You're still going to have a regular flow, hun. It may be slightly shorter and lighter than normal. Most flows while on the pill last 4-6 days--that's average.

You'll see a bigger difference on your next period. Women taking the pill for dismenorreah (spelling? ) will still see closer to 7 days.

You will always have a period, but since you're on the pill, it will be like clockwork. (Every four wednesdays is my schedule! Wee!) Suck it up karebear!

We're women; we deal. ;) Also, please know that it takes a good 3 months for your body to adjust to the pills. You may be moody, have breakouts, etc. Drink plenty of water so you don't get bloated.

Also, it takes AT LEAST a month for the pill to fully work as a contraceptive. Regardless--ALWAYS USE A BACKUP FORM OF BIRTH CONTROL. It's only 99% effective if used correctly.

Drinking, poor diet, and bad pill schedule can weaken its effectiveness.(Take it every day at the same time; I take mine first thing in the morning when I get in the shower.) If after three months you're not satisfied with your flow or you feel poorly from the pill, don't hesitate to talk to your doctor. Not every hormone combo is right for everyone.(Nordette gave me horrific acne! ) Take care!

1 It will definitely change the time of when your next period will start. I have done this before when I knew I would be going on a tropical vacation and didn't want to be on my period at that time. I don't recommend making a habit of it though.

When you start taking the pills they will either reduce or stop your period altogether. When you are at the point in your birth control packet where you need to take the different pill that you take when your period starts don't be surprised if you don't start your period at that time. It takes until the next packet to get the adjustment.

That being said, our bodies are all different and react differently but this has been my experience.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
