I'm talking about using an IUD ( intra uterine device ). I'll link two websites that discuss IUDs as birth control, they do have some issues but they remove the problems you get from taking extra hormones. If you think it might be appropriate discuss with your doctor.
It's cheaper, it works continually, you can't forget to take it and its non-chemical. These are all good reasons to consider this type of control. From personal experience I found them to be very effective, and they did not not cause me any difficulties.... thewomens.org.au/IntraUterineDeviceIUD health.ninemsn.com.au/family/womenshealt....
I have had similar issues. I finally spoke to my doctor about a year ago about getting me on a pill that did NOT make me gain weight. The pill that I currently take is called Sprintec I have not had any problems with weight gain in the past wear, my appetite is not out of control from it and losing weight is no problem.
That is just from personal experience, bodies vary...I will include a site with some information on this pill.. Hopefully this helps!
Yes, a popular contraceptive pill that doesn't lead to weight gain is yasmin but many others don't lead to (much) weightgain either. Full details about the different pills available here: atoz-onlinepharmacy.com.
Actually I was on one a few years back that I was told had no weight gain side effects. It was true,NONE what so ever. The pill was Yasmin.
That is the only one I know of. Try that one out. Here is some info on that pill.
We had to make this selection recently in the family. The choice seemed to be between various pills (there was no interest in shots or under the skin application we were interested in) but then we learned about the NuvaRing. It is a large, flexible intra-vaginal low-dose method.
nuvaring.com/Consumer/index.asp I don't know if there is any birth control method that doesn't have some side effects, and with hormone methods, weight gain seems to be typical. The user has gained some weight, but it is probably due to her food choices, not necessarily the nuvaring. I'm not a medical health provider, and I won't try to offer a comparison between the types.
There is a page in the NuvaRing site that allows you to compare various methods: Combined Hormonal Pill, Progestin-Only Pill (Mini-Pill), Patch, Progestin-Only Injection, Diaphragm with Spermicide, Cervical Cap with Spermicide, Male Condom, Female Condom, Films, Foams, and Jellies, Copper Intrauterine Device (IUD), and Progestin-Only Intrauterine System (IUS). http://www.nuvaring.com/Consumer/aboutNuvaRing/compareToOtherBirthControl/index.asp You can use that to compare the various types regardless of whether you're actually considering the NuvaRing.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
