I'd take Bear Grylls, from Man Vs. Wild First, of course, because he's a survival expert. If I'm stuck on an island, my goal is to survive and be rescued, and Bear always manages to do so on his show (of course, it's a show, but he knows his stuff).
I think for that reason it would be a very educational experience too. How often do you get to learn survival skills from an expert? I think he would also make really good company though. My girlfriend loves the show too, and she's done some research on Bear's past (I'm sure that he's good looking doesn't hurt ) and he has climbed Mt.
Everest, had dinner while suspended beneath a hot air balloon, been in the British Special Forces, and seems to have had a very interesting life, all in all. After basic survival, I'd want some entertainment, and I think it would be great hearing all the stories of his different experiences. On the other hand, if it were an island where survival wasn't going to be difficult, Rachel Ray.
ROWR! If she were a president, she'd be Babraham Lincoln! MightyCow_DontFollow's Recommendations Man vs. Wild Amazon List Price: $19.99 Average Customer Rating: 4.0 out of 5 (based on 16 reviews) Warm and Wonderful Amazon List Price: $29.95 I bet she is ;) .
It may sound trite or crazy but I'd take my husband of 40 years. Even after all these years we still have plenty to talk about, ideas to share, plans to make, etc. We can still sit for hours and discuss the meaning of life and how to live it. We can also spend hours just being with each other and not saying a word.
I think that's important if you're on a deserted island with only one person. While we share common interests, we also are very different people and personalities, so I think that adds the spice to the conversation..
This is a very interesting question, since it assumes that you'd be there a while. I’ve broken down my reasoning into finite steps: I'm assuming that I couldn't take anyone that I know already. Knowing me, I’d want a member of the opposite sex, who was old enough that pregnancy wouldn’t be a big issue--which rules out women under forty for me.
She would have to speak passable English--not necessarily a native speaker, but fluent. It would be good if she had a pleasant disposition, so we got along decently. Ideally, she should have a set of skills that compliment my own.
I’m talkative and literate. I can play musical instruments--if forced to do so--but can’t sing to save my life. So it would be good if she could sing.
This way, we’d have something to do to pass the time--besides the obvious implied in #1. She’d need to be reasonably outdoorsy. I’d prefer that we have had somewhat similar life experiences.
I know I could learn a lot from Cleopatra or Anne Bolyen, but our frame of reference would be too far apart. Putting all of those factors together, the choice that popped into my brain was Rhonda Vincent. nemr.net/~rhondav/ I realizing that I’d be missing out on a great opportunity to get to know Will Shakespeare or Napoleon, but I’m being realistic.
If were talking about a dinner party, my answer would be different and my choice would more likely be male. George Santayana A most human and witty philosopher. We could chat for years and never run out of things to talk about. Just reading him I feel we are brothers..
Survivorman I'd take the guy from Survivorman, cuz he'd know what to do. Otherwise I'd starve to death, drown, be eaten by a shark or die of heat stroke. Or, more likely, go swimming to avoid heatstroke while already starving, have a shark bite me, panic and drown, all in one fell swoop.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
