My friend is 11 she started ballet 4 months ago. When she asked to start they took her into a room and got her to do some simple exercises. They put her in a class that was the same ability as her.
So you may be you don't know for example 13 you might get put in a class with a bunch of 10 year olds. It all depends on your ability. In my class which is 11/12/13 years old.
We have two 9 year olds because they are as good as 11/12/13 year olds. That's their ability. And iys never to late to start anything!
If you what to do it. Go for it! Don't let age or worries hold you back.
G. O F.O.R I. T!
Good luck!
10-11yr-olds learn pre-ballet because their bodies are not mature enough to accept real ballet training safely. This is why they use third position rather than fifth. You should be able to find a teen beginner class easily enough.
But above all, stop trying to teach yourself. Without a teacher's eyes on you you will make mistakes and build bad habits which will be difficult to unlearn and put you further back than you would be if you did nothing at all. What you can do is take up Pilates or yoga until you can find an age-appropriate beginning ballet class.
This will prepare you for ballet by strengthening your core and developing long lean (rather than bulky) muscles.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
