I'm 17 and looking for a first car, I earn 62'000, what's a nice, smart looking, car?

No it isn't a bad idea, I have bought & sold cars off CL before. There are a couple things you should do though: 1) Do a DMV check using the license plate # and VIN. That can reveal if the title & registration is clear or not.

If the seller won't reveal those #s to you, move on. 2) Reference the Kelly Blue Book (KBB) for the current value of the make & model car you're considering buying to make sure the asking price is in the range it should be in. 3) Do a Carfax check.

It'll cost about $30 or so for a month of access, but it's a good step in vetting potential cars and can save you from making a mistake. 4) Only buy a car that's registered in your state. Cars I'd consider buying: from someone who has owned the car for a long time and has maintenance records.

Then meet, test drive it and go with your gut after doing your homework. But be prepared to move QUICK on something you like, there are lots of savvy car buyers out there who know a good value when they see it.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
