Please ignore the riff-raff answering blood-type questions. You have an unusual situation, if you are correct on your and your son's blood types. Unusual, but not impossible.

Somewhere under 1% of the time, a person tests (phenotype) as "O", but you actually have a slightly broken A or B gene. In the next generation this broken gene may repaired, so your offspring might inherit an A or B gene from you. It's also possible to have some gene expression inhibitor that is strongly expressed in you, so you test out as an "O" because your A or B gene is being supressed.

Buit those inhibitors don't always carry through in your offspring, so voila, instant A or B gene. So don't freak out at all those folks telling you that your child is not your child. It could also be something even more common, a mistaken blood typing.In the real world blood typing tests are done incorrectly about 1 to 3% of the time.
