Certain drugs used to treat gout, arthritis, depression, heart problems and high blood pressure may cause hair loss in some people. Taking birth control pills also may result in hair loss for some women. Medical treatments.

Undergoing chemotherapy or radiation therapy may cause you to develop alopecia. After your treatment ends, your hair typically begins to regrow. Recent high fever, severe flu or surgery.

You may notice you have less hair three to four months after events such as an illness or surgery. These conditions cause hair to shift rapidly into a resting phase (telogen effluvium), meaning you'll see less new hair growth. A normal amount of hair typically will appear after the growth phase resumes.Infancy.

Newborns often lose hair during the first several months of life. This baby hair (vellus) is eventually replaced by more permanent hair. It's also common for babies to lose a patch of hair on the back of their heads from rubbing against mattresses, playpens and car seats.

Hair will grow back once a baby begins to spend more time sitting up.Childbirth. Some women experience an increase in hair loss several months after delivering a baby. My thoughts... Take a look at what skin care regimine you are using. If you are using a cleanser that is harsh or drying (for example, if you have acne and are using something specifically for that), scrubbing very vigorously, etc. , you may be able to avoid future fall-out by changing that routine or avoiding your eyebrow area. Drawing your brows in with a pencil is an option that you may wish to explore however I would recommend against permanent makeup.

It works very well for a long time and then, as you age, your skin starts to shift. I can't tell you how many older clients I've seen who have two sets of eyebrows, even though they were perfectly drawn on by an experienced permanent makeup artist. You may want to have a consultation with a hair clinic.

Mostly you'll see that they advertise for men who are balding, but most offer a number of other services as well. You may need medical intervention to help stop the remaining hair from falling out and to encourage it to regrow. Make sure you are getting proper nutrition and don't have a deficiency that's causing it.

Make sure there is no psychological reason (some people pluck their hairs out and aren't even aware of it) behind the fall-out. Check your skin care and makeup routines to make sure you aren't aggravating it.In the meantime, you may want to consider getting your eyebrows tinted a slightly darker color to make them look fuller. Make sure your tinter ONLY uses an eye-safe vegetable based dye and DO NOT go to a hairstylist who wants to use regular hair color on them.

As far as I know, there is nothing that you can do over the counter, wive's-tale-driven, common-sense, or otherwise to encourage growth..
