And welcome to Askville! The book that you are searching for, "The Secrets of the Mojave", by Branton, was only in a limited release, and has been out of print for quite some time. I did a little searching at eBay, half.Com, and also abebooks.

Com, and was unable to locate a single copy. You might want to set up a daily search at eBay, so that if a copy does become available there, you will be notified by email. All is not lost, however.

I did find a website that purports to have the entire book on it, as well as some ancillary information. Of course, I can’t vouch for the veracity of the transcript, but if you haven't already been there, it would certainly be worth a look. That site is: v-j-enterprises.com/mojave1.html .

Perhaps you could run off a copy from the site, if you need it on paper? Or you could contact the site owners, and see if they can help you find a copy of the book. Now, you might be able to find this book at a sci-fi convention, and it is possible that there could have been one for sale at the recent Comic-Con.
