It really depends on what types of books you like to read. The best books I've read in the last few years are The Help, The Hunger Games, Three Cups of Tea, Water for Elephants.
I recently read "Icecream Maker" by Subir Choudhry. A great book which highlights the significance of and advantageous consequences of striving for the best quality.
Any book from the Dear America or Royal Diaries series would be an easy good read. Dear America is a historical fiction series about immigrants coming to the US while the Royal Diaries are historical fiction about famous royals in history. My favorite Royal Diaries book is Jahanara Princess of Princesses by Kathryn Lasky.
Depends what you're interested in. If you're into fiction (and you like music as well, esp. Classical music), I've got some suggestions here:hubpages.com/hub/Music-in-Fiction-The-Go... you're into science fiction and/or fantasy, I just created 2 hubs on these amazing authors who write both SF and fantasy, and picked out their best novels:hubpages.com/hub/Kick-Ass-Authors-Who-Wr... reading!
If you haven't read any of Malcolm Gladwell's books, I would recommend those. I loved "The tipping point" and "Blink". Freakonomics is another interesting look at interesting statistics (but without the jargon!).
I also recently read "Secrets of great marriages" by Charlie and Linda Bloom. Even if you are not married, it has wonderful stories about what it takes to make and maintain great relationships."Al-Ghazali: The ninety-nine beautiful names of God" translated by David Burrell and Nazih Daher was also very good for many points to reflect on.
Wooow Shelly I have read three of the books tht you just listed and I realy enjoyed them...we must be kidered spirits...lol...Im check out Water for Elephants aand let you know how I like it.
Please use plain text. I would seriously reccomend Harry Potter and Twilight. Both of these series are amazing (though Harrry Potter IS better) and they are both good books for both men and women.
Please use plain text. Try the "Thursday Next" series by Jasper Fforde. I've read the first three books, starting with "The Eyre Affair".
It's very entertaining and it may even give you some ideas about classic literature to read later on. While the books talk a lot about classic books, you need not have read those books to enjoy the series. Please use plain text.
It depends on what you like to read. I can recommend The woman in white" by Wilkie Collins. It's a mystery classic book.
I have also read "the story of edgar sawtelle" the adventurous and very psychological, "wicked" is a good book and it's also series of books. Please use plain text. Hey I am in the middle of Joyce Meyer's book, "I Dare You" but looking for a good series to start for the new year or atleast a good book for December....Any suggestions?
"Character is always lost when a high ideal is sacrificed on the altar of conformity and popularity." - Charles SpurgeonIf you can dream it, you can do it. Please use plain text.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
