One of my favorite winter warmers is a delicious leek and potato soup. You can make it a little thinner, if you want a lighter soup, but I prefer it fairly thick, it is still less heavy than a stew and for comfort food it's hard to beat! If you serve leak and potato soup with bread and butter, or a crusty roll it becomes a light meal.
This is a soup which you can make smooth or chunky. I have looked at some recipe sites on line and I have provided the links to these below for you, they are all good, but there is one site, aptly named leakpotatosoup. Com which not only gives you the basic recipe, but also a lot of new variations on it which sound interesting.

I suggest a vegetable soup. It's very comforting, healthy and delicious. Here's a favorite recipe of mine: Ingredients: • 1 medium carrot • 1 medium potato • 1/2 cup green beans chopped • 1/2 cup peas ( fresh or frozen) • 1/2 medium onion chopped • 2 tomatoes chopped • 4 cups water • 1 tbsp oil • 2 bay leaves • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds • 1/2 tsp red chili powder • 1/2 tsp cumin powder • Salt to taste • 1 tbsp chopped coriander leaves to garnish Method: 1.
Heat oil in a pan. Add cumin seeds and let it crackle. 2.
Add bay leaf, red chili powder and cumin powder, 3. Add onions and sauté for 2 minutes. 4.
Now add all the vegetables and salt, sauté for 2 minutes on medium heat. 5. Add water and cook for about 5 minutes or till the vegetables become tender.6.
Cover and let it stand for about 2 minutes. 7. Garnish it with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
