Try the place I would go is a sally beauty supply. They are open to the public and they do sell perm rods. You can ask someone there for help with size.

You can also get better quality than over the counter perms extra and nicer wrapping papers, etc. Also some good curl care products for less.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
