I'm sitting and I'm watching you all discuss favorite rappers not greatest favorite who is the greatest rapper?

It's pretty much the same. Why would I ever put someone on a "greatest rappers" list if I didn't really like their music? And no, it doesn't make my opinion any more biased than other people's because music always has a good deal of subjectivity.

In fact, if ANYONE is biased it is the people who re-hash the same list of great rappers because that's what the popular opinion on all the magazines and websites say. Instead of listening to music for yourself and realizing that an artist like Cise Starr can rap circles around KRS One. Anyways, the only major difference I could see between those lists is that my favourite rappers change ALL THE TIME.

Whereas my list of the best rappers ever is pretty static. But anyone I put in there is gonna be one of my favourites. Right now my favourites are K'naan Lupe Fiasco B.o.B.

Great question, I was thinking the same thing. No not at all, I have a different favorite rappers list than a best rappers list. My best rappers list is objective in trying to see a rappers talent.

My favorite rappers list is just on what rappers I like to hear. For example my favorite rappers are people like Lupe Fiasco, Nas and Common, Mos Def, Talib Kweli. (conscious/alternative rap is my preference) But im not going to say that Lupe is better than KRS-One, Biggie, and Rakim because thats just crazy.

I like those guys but not as much as my favorite rappers, if you get what I mean. EDIT: Another example my favorite NFL team is Giants...That means there the best now? That doesn't make any sense.

Perception is not always reality @Geo God: Ok but your judging who is the best for you on personal preference. Your not judging them on pure talent and accomplishments. In music, for me a GOAT list is based on who I think has the most talent (and maybe a little influence) and my Favorite list is just my biased personal preference and who's music I can relate to more.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
