I actually think that there are a number of great rappers that have never made it big. In order to be discovered you need a certain "umph", I have heard this referred to as "relaventcy", but I think relevantcy does not completely describe what you need. "Billy the Kid", aka "Gullie" is in my opinion one the best rappers alive, however few people have even heard of him despite ghost writing lyrics for some of the top rapper today.
I wish you the best of luck and I suggest you try to develop a following and then have record companies try to fight it out for you.
I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
