I'm thinking of trying to start a knitting ministry at our church. Have any of you ever done that? Could use any advice out there?

It sounds like a great idea, when my twins (boy/girl) were born the hospital gave us a set of pink and blue knitted hats which were donated by the local hospital knitting group. I appreciated the effort and love that these were made with, I kept them in their little keepsake boxes so they could see how tiny they were when first born. You could also make mittens and scarves for a local shelter, the possibilities are endless.

Good luck, I'm sure you will touch many people with your ministry.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
