I'm trying to find a book and can't remember the title or the author. I read it when I was a kid, years ago?

I'm trying to find a book and can't remember the title or the author. I read it when I was a kid, years ago. It took place in ancient Tyre and Greece and had something about the purple dye they created from (mussels or some shellfish).

The book was probably published between 1945 and 1967. Of course there was a love story, but I've forgotten all the other details. I just remember I really liked it.

I vaguely remember something about people lost in the middle of the ocean between Greece and Tyre after a shipwreck or a deliberate sinking, I forget. It was historical fiction. I can't remember if christianity entered into it or not, but possibly as that occurred in a lot of these old historical novels.Thanks.

I'm trying to find a book that helps kids learn to read. It had a mostly blue cover and was larger (wider than it was tall). It was paperback and it put words together such as B + AT and then the word BAT and a picture of the bat.It really helped me and my kids learn to read quickly and I think it was from the early 1970's.

I can't remember the title of the book or who published it.

It was a book aimed at woman and was about a woman who moved into a flat share with some strangers, I think it was set in London. I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
