In free fall, we assume the acceleration to be constant. Not only is air resistance ignored...?

If it has a constant acceleration, that means that at all times during the fall it has an acceleration of 9.8 m/s^2. Therefore, the average acceleration would also be equal to 9.8m/s^2. If the answer is not 9.8, you could try -9.8. It all depends on which direction you assume to be positive.

However if you assume that the constant acceleration is 9.8, I would guess that even though it is falling downward, they are implying that the acceleration is positive, which would make your answer positive as well.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
