You'd have to fence the tree. You can buy plastic netting at Home Depot and drape it over the top, but be willing to kill the animal that you find trapped in it the next morning. Otherwise, it will try to attack you and then return the next night for more food swag.

But you could also try an actual fence around the trees to limit access to them that way. I don't think raccoons can eat thru chain-link.
