In spite of the friction here on yahoo answers, between believers an atheists, do atheists know that real?

1. Science proves the Bible knows practically nothing about the real world that science has discovered, so if the Bible is the "Word of God", then God is merely a pathetically ignorant group of primitive Hebrew shepherds. Logicians know there are many terrible contradictions in the Bible.

If God wrote it, he is an imbecile. Science can prove that specific gods do not exist. There is no logical reason to think spirits exist, so "spiritual" only means absurd fantasy.

It is metaphysics in philosophy, rather than religion, that tries to answer "Why?" 2. Science does know how many things came into existence. To say, "I do not know, therefore God did it", is argument from ignorance that is extremely illogical.

Scientists have recreated much of the basics of life in laboratories. You obviously know nothing about that. If you did know more, you would not blindly believe in just one of thousands of gods, and you would realize your arguments here are quite poor.

3. Why did the universe, "have to come from something"? I disagree, and you have no proof.

Religion does not give any real answers. It avoids answering. It is argument from ignorance.

Instead of, "God-did-it", we can say Izanami and Izanagi were the creators in Japanese Kami no Michi, Pan Gu was the creator in Chinese "Shenism", Brahma was the creator in Indian Hinduism, etc.! You blind believers in one deity of thousands have never given us anything that is at all worthy of consideration. "Why do you so harshly reject even considering" Izanami and Izanagi, Pan Gu, Brahma, Marduk, Ymir, etc. "might have created it"? Lord Bertrand Russell told of a teapot in orbit near Jupiter.

We cannot totally prove it does not exist, but there is no good reason to think it does exist. The same is true of any gods you may choose. There is no good reason to believe your god exists at all and no good reason to prefer him to thousands of other gods.

In Japan, 99.54% of the population does not believe in the Christian God. Amaterasu is our supreme deity in Kami no Michi. China is atheistic.

India's main religion is Hinduism whose main gods are Shiva, Vishnu and Brahma. WHY ARE THE CONCEPTS OF AMATERASU, YU TI, SHIVA, ETC. SO UNACCEPTABLE TO YOU?

Science has been working on "life" for 60 years, it took nature 3.5 billion years. Give them a chance. The most common elements of the universe by volume are hydrogen, oxygen, carbon, nitrogen.

3 - The universe did come from something - a singularity, matter/energy, which has been proven to be eternal, it only changes form. Religion offers a fantasy, not an answer. You have to prove a god exists before you can say he did anything, which you have not done.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
