In understanding the underlying causes of racism, do you believe slavery conditioned both owners and slaves?

What about asians who dislike hispanics, hispanics that dislike whites, the list goes on and on. Slavery had nothing to do with those scenarios. I think the problem starts when people exaggerate racism.

So someone does not particularly care for another race or ethnic background, that does not make them racist, they just don't want to bothered with those people. But because of the ignorance of people to just accept that not everyone will like them, the cries of racism come, and it snowballs. So if I don't particularly like to spend time or be around black folks, Im a racist?

The racism starts within your own mind, not mine. If I go to an Asian store and I can tell they don't really care for me, I don't think they are racist, I just think they probably feel more comfortable around their own kind. So basically, if you want to use the insecurity thing as an excuse, then to me its insecurity from blacks not accepting things and just moving on.

Well yeah, I don't care to be around many blacks ... more.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
