In your opinion ,what's the difference between being thrifty,or just being plain cheap?

A thrifty person gets his money's worth. A cheap person often doesn't; because he buys poor quality product in order to save a few cents. I.E.A thrifty person may buy a $200 pair of work boots that last 2½ years, while the cheap person refuses to spend $200 on a pair of boots, and instead buys $100 boots that only last 1 year..

A thrifty person buys toilet paper at Costco. A cheap person counts the squares of toilet paper he uses.

Thrifty is when you make a great effort not to be wasteful. Cheap is when you do without, including basic necessities, because you want to hold on to the money tight. Reality check....depends on what kind of life we were exposed early on, if we had plenty or just barely enough.

You can be either one as long as does not affect anyone else in your family and friends.

Thrifty is when you shop around for the best price on a necessary item. Cheap is when you refuse to buy the item at the best reasonable price.

A thrifty person is someone that uses their money wisely. Shopping to get the best price on a quality item. Being cheap is someone that thinks nothing is worth spending money on.

A cheap person will typically buy the item that costs the least not taking in to consideration if they are going to get their moneys worth.

Sitto what @Goldie_Bah_Humbug said, I watched a show a few years back about a guy who was so cheap he'd buy 2 ply toilet paper, then separate the plies into 1 ply and everyone in his family was only allowed 4 squares of it. He would also pick up ketchup packets off the ground around fast food places, and empty them into his ketchup bottle. He sis alot more stuff like that, just can't remember them .

IMO he went way beyond cheap to asinine.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
