Intel Core i5 Quad Core vs. AMD Phenom II X4 Quad Core?

I've also had this debate when thinking of buying a new computer as well. From what I have learned: the best competitor for the i5 750 (quad core) is the Phenom II x6 1055t (2.8 GHz) The phenom is in the same price bracket as the i5 at about £150 and in comparison results; the i5 outperforms by a small amount at less threaded tasks while the phenom actually became stronger at multi-threaded tasks. AMD are the cheaper option and are not as powerful as Intel, but the difference in performance is less than the difference in price.

I prefer AMD since they are a bit more bang for the buck. Intel is extremely powerful, but it is also extremely expensive. I can't really compare AMD to Intel directly, but I have an AMD Phenom II X6, and it is a supperb processor, and I dare any Intel processor to beat a 6 core processor @ 3.5ghz.

So....in my mind: AMD: a bit cheaper, still powerful Intel: expensive, but powerful.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
