Is a common Marmoset monkey more well behaved then a pygmy Marmoset monkey?

They cost between 5,000 and 10,000 american dollars and you must get at least two because they are very sociable and need other monkeys around. They cannot be held much because they are very delicate and can easily be killed or hurt when in human hands. They need a cage of at least 3x3x3 feet and a diet of fresh fruits veggies and insects.

They don't tend to like people's company and are very messy. They are too small to be diaper trained and go wherever they are standing at the time. They can kill you if they're teeth are anywhere near the important veins in your wrists or neck although you would easily be able to kill them before they kill you, it's impossible to remove their jaws without severely damaging the primate.

If you want a monkey you need to do a lot more research and cannot rely on yahoo answers. Monkeys are dangerous and a lifetime commitment that you cannot undertake as a child, you must be an adult in a stable home with stable income. You also need to provide enrichment for the primate which is difficult because of their small size, you cannot use baby toys as one would do for larger monkeys.

All toys must challenge the monkey so that he can figure things out and use his mind and all will have to be handmade because of their size. You cannot use harnesses with monkeys of this size and if they get out of your hands they are gone forever. You must check your state regulations, monkeys are illegal to keep as pets in 12-15 states and many more require a permit from the usda.

This is an EXTREMELY high maintenance pet. I really wouldn't recommend it. Plus, in most places you need a permit to own one.

Their food is expensive. They eat monkey chow, fruits, veggies, and the occasional live insects. They need a large cage.

They are good with people but will attack strangers. They have sharp teeth. No they are not nocturnal.

And I don't even know why people call them finger monkeys. They grow to be about the size of your hand. Try something easier, like a ferret or a sugar glider.
