Yes, it is very romantic plus it demonstrates to me that my boyfriend for example, I mature and responsible enough to hold on a promise,it is very thoughtful to have a promise ring and it will be great if you both wear that kind of ring. Just don't pay attention to people who criticize you and your partner, they are just jealous because they don't have the guts to have and wear one.

I agree with one of the posts above. If she shes you get down on your knee she will probably think you are proposing, and then be very upset when it is just a promise ring.
