I don't know what historical period you're refering to but in the early 1900s and currently, Northern Ireland wa and is predominantly protestant, as you might expect...being a part of the United Kingdom. Catholics continue to be a minority in Northern Ireland and are hardly a theocracy now or in the 1900's.It occurred to me when I asked the question that people like you would answer with the atrocities committed by Christian Groups. But that is not the question.
You don’t solve the problem of Islam today, by pointing to Catholic atrocious that occurred over a hundred or more years ago. The Irish terrorism was not religion oriented…it was politically oriented. Irish terrorism was not committed in the name of religion, but because of a nationalistic yearning to unite all of Ireland. It is foolish to lose sight of the current problem we have in the US by pointing to Cooper, or Timothy McVeigh, or the crusades, or the Irish.
The problem today is not any of the above…it is Islam! It is terror done in the name of Islam! Geppetto 57 months ago.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
