Is anyone else also impressed that in the midst of all this celebration, Pres. Obama is ducking into his office......... (cont'd) to get some work done? S aides also are going to their offices to start their work.

Right now they are having lunch but Obama plans on stopping into the Oval Office to get some work done before going to the parade. Do you think it is a great sign that he is determined to get to work already? Obama That was the best Presidential Inaugural speech I have EVER heard. Maybe the best speech I have EVER heard. Incredible.

The man is truly gifted in that department. Even the little mess up he made on the oath was really the Justice getting the words jumbled up and confusing Obama. Hmmm... it wasn't the Koran he had his hand on either.

I guess that shoots down some of the conspiracy theorists out there. LOL I don't know how much work he will get done the first day but he is going to get something done... that is a good thing. I have high hopes for this man..

1 I imagine every President wants to get into it as soon as they can. They worked their butts off to get the job. That said, I recall that people early on complained that Bush spent too much of his time on vacation in the first few months of his Presidency.

That complaining sure ended right quick on 9/11. I'm sure those who don't want Obama to do what he's going to do would be similarly happy if he were to slack a bit. Personally, I think Obama has a great opportunity: he's smart, and he's got the nation behind him.

He's aiming to build consensus, and if he succeeds, he may be considered a great President some day. I don't know if what he wants is actually possible: some problems are just too hard to solve, and there are a lot of people (on both sides) who simply do not want to achieve consensus even if the problems are soluble. But I'm hopeful, and for pessimistic me, that's saying a lot.

2 You know I love the guy, but I think he just wants to feel that big chair under him.

4 If he was here on Askville that would rock! And Ichy I can see why. I always wanted to sit in a judges chair and spin around.

You know he has to think this is so cool (and yes I know he is profssional but seriously.....only 43 men can say they have been President and could sit in that chair! ) .

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
