When the president signs legislation, he writes each letter of his name with a separate pen. He then gives the pen to someone involved in the measure. For instance, President Barack Obama gave one of the pens he used to sign national service legislation to Sen.
Edward Kennedy, for whom the bill was named. Obama also gave a pen to Lilly Ledbetter, the Alabama woman whose lawsuit against Goodyear sparked a pay equity act in Congress. The White House says Obama uses various styles of Cross brand pens to sign legislation.
Similar pens are sold to the public, starting at $50.
I was unable to find WHY, but you'll notice that they always do this when laws or treaties are being signed in front of the press. Maybe the pens are saved as storical 'this pen signed the declaration of blh blah blah'?
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
