Is Askville still fun for you to participate on?

I like answering a question and finding it has helped someone. It reminds me of my work in libraries. I wish it would be less personal when I disagree with some.

I could like them as people and still think they are wrong. After all, nobody is right all the time. That is not so much fun.

We could all learn better ways to discuss issues where we do not agree. If we do, that could be a contribution to others.

We all have a right to our views and opinions, and I agree some people get very upset when you don't agree with theirs. Squeeky-changes-suck 17 months ago .

No, not really. But something keeps drawing me back--habit? The interesting people?

I always like to read your views and opinions Poppet even if I don't agree with all of them, and I have found a lot of your answers quite helpful. Squeeky-changes-suck 17 months ago .

The only fun lately is seeing who is on,and bashing Askville in hopes of waking up the Mod Squad. Squeeky-changes-suck 17 months ago .

I'd much rather see you bashing Askville than those who bash other members here. You mean well, I know.

Thanks. Squeeky-changes-suck 17 months ago .

I may not be here alot and I don't answer alot of questions, but I love reading everyones opinion. I have learned alot from this site. And sometimes I even get to get a laugh.

LOL I love any question you ask as much as you love Mrs Squeeky :) .

Not so much. But I'm adapting to the new format (wasn't easy, I tell ya! ), and am actually starting to enjoy the site again.

It's so difficult to interact and navigate, the "addictive" quality is gone. That is probably a GOOD thing, as Martha Stewart would say.

Yeah the addictive part of the siter is fast fading. Squeeky-changes-suck 17 months ago .

Yes! But without you old-timers, it wouldn't be. Please stay!

No one else is allowed to leave by order of the Beagle! .

I guess it all depends on whether or not you call a bad case of hemmorhoids fun. No Mods....ignorant, idiotic questions from people on intimate topics...someone on here who thinks he knows everything and dispenses free medical advice without a license...and how can we forget the Marlboro questions. Good grief!

But, something keeps bringing me back - just not for as long or often as in the past. Certain people (yeah, Squeeky you're one of them! ) still make the place fun.

And, I suppose as long as there are a few of us "old-timers" left, I'll keep popping in - probably in hopes that it will change. Before it gets too hot - going to go elf-hunting and see if I can bag a few. With luck, they'll still be passed out from last night's bout of drinking!

Yeah ya got that right. + bring back some heads we can mount, and send to the Mod squad. Squeeky-changes-suck 17 months ago .

Not the way it use to be squeeky, I miss the interaction that we had on DB's. It's impossible to do that now. Remember when DB's could keep going for 5 or 6 days?

Now you can't even get one going for a few hours because people can't see when you respond to another person. However, I still really do like answering questions. That keeps me coming back.

Yeah me to carla. Squeeky-changes-suck 17 months ago .

No way! I come back whenever there is a Google alert to a hot question.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
