Yes, the University of Texas is found in Austin. An estimated 48,000 students study here. Majority of the freshmen are Texans.

Most of the freshmen come from the top quarter of their high school senior class. They are among the best and brightest Texan students. As freshmen, they can be in Architecture, Business, Communication, Education, Engineering, Fine Arts, GeoSciences, Liberal Arts, Natural Sciences, Nursing, Pharmacy, and Social Work.

There are different kinds of organizations that you can join. They fall under educational, honorary, international, political, professional, recreational, religious, service, social, special interest, and student governance. Students of Greek ancestry can join any of the 50 chapters that deals with their culture.In this university, there are 17 libraries distributed on campus.

There is also a replica of the US Oval Office within the campus.
