Is getting a subscription to Sirius satellite radio worth $13 a month? Why or why not?

In my opinion, no. At first I thought that it would be pretty cool to have internet radio like that - more personal, no commercials, etc. Of course, when I found out there was a monthly fee, I didn't think so.As time goes on and more money is put into the subscription, it begins to be worth less and something not necessarily needed. There are other ways to get that kind of radio.

Also, for $13 dollars a month, you could be getting FM or AM for free - I know that it isn't as great, but sirius is essentially just an upgrade over normal radio - one that will cost you monthly. I'd like to introduce my favourite product (even though I have yet to own one) the Archos 5. amazon.com/Archos-250-Internet-Media-Tab... This baby can go up to 250 gb, without android.

Sorry for going a little off topic there, but I believe that this is a great alternative.It has super-advanced internet radio. Customizable, free, and more varied. I present this because, it is an alternative that you don't have to pay every month for.

Sure, it is a little pricey, but its better than sirius without mounting charges. Also, if you want a great video mP3 player, this is one of the best there is. My point?

There are tons of alternatives to sirius and the Archos 5 is among them. There are even satellite radio units that can be hand cranked, etc. Sirius is great, but for a monthly price? Its less attractive than the one-time price.

And you even have to pay quite a bit for the unit. Like my iPod nano - I regret doing a bit of market research to find out what else there was.(i.e. The Archos 5 ... sorry, a little obsessed :) ) and I would much rather have that.

Moral of the story - if you want Sirius, thats great. If it works for you, even better. But, look around a little, see what's out there.

In terms of money, you should always be able to get more bang for buck. I'm sirius!(Sorry about that...).

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
