Is it easier to learn to drive in a Manual or Automatic car?

I tried for 18 years to learn to drive a manual car and failed the driving test twice. I moved to automatic and after 6 months passed the test first time. Without the option of an automatic, I would never have had the freedom that I get from being able to drive.

It's easier to learn with an automatic transmission. But, if it is "too complicated" for you to learn to drive a car with a manual transmission (and I don't mean a "paddle shifter"), maybe you should not be driving.

It is of course much easier to learn how to drive in an automatic car but the point is that you will be missing out on learning probably the hardest part which is the balanced play of your feet between the accelerator and the clutch. If you don't learn this you will have to stick to driving automatic cars forever.

Definitely it's much easier to learn to drive a car with an automatic transmission because the car does the shifting of the gears for you automatically when the engine speed has reached certain rpm (revolutions per minute). On the other hand, when it comes to manual shift, you need to know how to engage or disengage the clutch when shifting up or down. Having said that, in terms of acceleration, fuel consumption and fun of driving, a manual transmission is always the better choice.

Of course it's easier to drive an automatic, but I think you have to ask yourself a couple of questions. 1. Will you ever have a need to drive a vehicle with a manual transmission?2.

If you can drive a manual, then you can drive an automatic, however it doesn't work in reverse. So if you have an opportunity, I really like to see people learn on a manual.3. If you need to buy a starter car because you don't have money to jump into a new vehicle, it's usually a lot cheaper to buy something manual!

4.It's so much more fun to drive a standard. You have so much more control. Ultimately, if you don't forsee having to drive a manual, and aren't really interested in performance, then stick with the automatic, but if you think you'll ever need the skill of driving a manual, then go ahead and learn it now.It's like riding a bike, you'll never forget once you learn (though you may get a little rusty).

Well automatic is easier. Manual is by far the best way to go. It puts less stress on the transmission and increases fuel mileage.

Not to mention it is cheaper. It is not not that hard to learn manual. But it is worth it for the long run.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
