Is it even possible by this point for the United States to pay off it's national debt?

The US has such an interesting system. The Federal Reserve makes the money and in order for the US to even make more money, it has to continue going into debt. It simply keeps going to the FR and asks for more green paper.

I guess when the upper rich class man who own that bank request to be paid back.. in full, it'd likely be impossible. It's so weird how it works. The same bank that issues the money has to be paid back its paper money, but how does it do this?

How do you "pay" a bank back money when it makes the money? I guess it's really just a bullshit system that the world believes in even though it really has actual thing backing it. It's worked and it never seems to end.

And all Americans are held responsible for it. I've got massive debt in student loans.. I hope I can get the job to pay it back. If I get a job, I will attempt to pay it back despite the insane amount of interest I have.

If I don't pay it back, than I hope that when I die, the bank I owe is just SOL, and the money is not worth anything anyway. Which, by the way, according to the law -- if you die, your family is not responsible for your debt (thank god), but than who actually pays that off? I mean.. because I die, the money no longer matters, but while I'm alive, it does matter?

Really? Almost makes it seem useless. Just a system that is designed to make us think its important to keep us working and buying stuff to drive an economy that is set up so it runs a system and continues to run a system in collaboration with a global world.

Remember, the debt is in the nature of bonds and T-bills, some of them with 20 to 30 year life. When they become due, the government can release new issues of such instruments. Since so much of the world's currency is pegged to the US dollar, it is in the best interest of the countries to support the US economy.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
