Is it illegal to put a fake silencer on a real gun?

So evidently you know nothing about "silencers" They are not legal nor do they make guns "quiet". They reduce the noise but it is still a very loud explosion. The average gun owner cannot purchase a silencer.

They require special permits. Liberals ...everything they know about guns they get from a Stallone movie.

Because whining Liberals tend to move in next door to existing airports and shooting ranges then begin their incessant complaining about all the noise. If you can afford the very tax to own one, you probably want to protect your hearing. If you can't afford it, you don't get one.

If you're a criminal, what difference does it make if it's outlawed or not? They can always be built, so no, you will never "dry up the supply". Why don't you gun-fearing nuts try going after the criminal instead of the law abiding?

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
