Is it possible for free tertiary education in South Africa and how?

Well, to be honest. I went through all of my school years in SA and I was taught that free education is a right, but I remember the RIDICULOUS costs my parents had to pay! I was in some of the top schools in SA and I was never taught or heard of a free school!

Not free at school or at tertiary institutions. Private schools charge a lot. At government schools you have to pay school fees, buy your uniform and pay for your books.

The amount you have to pay for fees is not really a lot for working people, from $50 to $100 a month. Sometimes the books are given free to students depending on the school's financial position. If your parents are unemployed or very poor or don't have any parents then by law the schools cannot force you to pay any fees.

You will have to ask the school to be exempt from paying fees. In this case your education will be free. If you can afford fees then you have to pay them.

In some poor rural areas because of poverty the government also lists schools in which education is free. In the cities all the schools charge fees. So for schools it is like a dual system.

University education is not free but the government provides loans to all students at low interest rates. You have to repay the loan once you have completed your studies and are working.

Yes but its only available to underprivileged persons. The only way that you can get free education at a private school or tertiary education is if you have extraordinary sporting or academic ability and are able to secure a scholarship.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
