Is it possible to get pregnant after not taking birth control pills? Since my period before taking pills was not normal?

If it was irregular before you started taking birth control pills, it may or may not be regular after you stop. If it's not regular after the first 2-3 months after stopping the birth control pills, then you need to see your OB/GYN for help as you may not be ovulating. And, as you know, you need to ovulate to get pregnant.

Thank you, Alissa...My OB/GYN gives me a prescription of pre-natal vitamins even before I took birth control pills. She said this will be fine even with pills. Does this vitamins helps me ovulate too?

My period arrives last Feb. 21 and it lasted 4-5 days as if it was normal and then we made love after 9 days of my first period. Am I fertile on that time? I did stopped my birth control pills last December and I had some spots on January but then on February my period looks normal again.

I am really hoping to get pregnant soon. I can't wait to be a mom... :)I know I need to talk to my OB/GYN. But, what I need here is some friendly advice.

You're typically fertile 14 days before you get your period. So, if you have a 28 day cycle, you would normally ovulate on day 14. But sperm can live inside you for 3-5 days so a few days before that sometimes is enough.

I recommend 'trying' every 2 days in the middle of your cycle to cover your fertile times. The prenatal vitamins may or may not help with ovulation. If you were vitamin deficient before and that's why you were not ovulating, then they 'may' help, but they don't usually help with ovulation.

And, I'm a mom of 2 little girls and struggled to get pregnant with the 2nd one - go figure. That's why they're 5 1/2 years apart! So I know all about being impatient in that respect!

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
