Is it safe to travel to Cancun Asked by Susan11 4 months ago Similar questions: safe travel Cancun Games & Leisure > Travel.
I wouldn't. My oldest sister went there and described it as a kind of enclave designed for American tourists, complete with filtered, clean water. Then they take a day trip to one of the pyramids and have lunch served there where the water is not especially Americanized and one of the guests came down with a food illness.
Then there's the fact that the RFID chip in the passport is easily identifiable ($80 at Radio Shack) as American, making you one of the candidates for $$.
There's no place in Mexico that is safe to travel to these days. The State Department advises people not to go anywhere in Mexico, but they still insist upon putting their lives in jeopardy by going to the touristy places where the drug cartels are just as likely to shoot you as they would be in Juarez. I bet there are lots of places in the US where you haven't been.
Why not go there and keep your money in the US and be safe at the same time? .
I went there 2 or 3 years ago. It is safe. But of course you have to take care about drinking water, eating salad, ice... The place is beautiful with great infrastructure, but it will be expensive and the service will often be lame.
Regarding danielpauldavis answer, you donĀ“t need an RFID reader, they can tell you are American, just by looking at your face.
Safe,if you call a place "designed" as a "tourist trap","safe", then,yeah.
How safe is it for a woman to travel alone in Santiago, Chile.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
