It is a triumphalist endeavor meant to celebrate their perceived victory over us back on 11 Sept, 2001. The moslems, as a people, have a tradition of building monuments at the sites of their conquests. How do you think that mosque wound up on the Temple Mount?
How did St. Sophia's Basilica in Constantinople (today's Istambul) wind up as the Hagiai Sophia Mosque? If it were not meant as a means of snubbing their nose at us, and putting us in our place (as it were), why would they have chosen such a confrontational name, and plan ground breaking ceremonies on 9/11/11, the tenth anniversary of their treachery and infamy? They are doing this to show us how they have learnt to use our rights, laws and freedoms against us in their on-growing crusade to force us to submit to their moon god.
Sure, they have the right to build there, but I ask you if it is "right" for them to build it there. They scream and yell for "cultural sensitivity", but have never been seen to extend this same courtesy to anyone, themselves. It is not the mosque so much, as it is the manner in which they plan a "super mosque", 13 storeys, no less, less than 3 blocks from where their brethren caused the worst Crime Against Humanity perpetrated against mankind since WWII.
This is no way to mend fences, build bridges, and tear down the wall of distrust between us and them. This reconciliation must come from BOTH camps. We should not be expected to shoulder the burden of fostering peace alone.
THEY have to WANT it to happen, and their actions to date make me wonder.
No One knows for sure. Our intellgence agencys refuse to do their jobs, Buckwheat our fearless leader sends mixed messages. No one is looking to see where the funding is coming from.
All I can say, Is, I have returned more live fire into a mosque than most other fire fight positions. The radicals most loved attack positions are from Mosque, Schools or Hospitals. So build it, and they will come.
And I'm not talking baseball ghost.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
