If an iPhone is going to come to Verizon, it would be announced in June when Apple is expected to release their new iPhone. I tend to think that the rumors are true, so if you really want an iPhone, you might want to wait at least until then to make your decision because you might not have to switch carriers for it. If there's not a new iPhone, I don't really recommend switching to ATT just for it.
If they happen to have better service in your area than Verizon does, and you really want an iPhone, then it might be worth it. But if Verizon has better coverage in your area, then you might want to consider getting an Android phone. They can do pretty much everything that the iPhone can do, plus they are capable of true multitasking (the iPhone will have multitasking, but not to the extent that Android can do it) and Android will soon support Flash (something that the iPhone will never do).
Android devices are also much more customizable than the iPhone is. The Android app market currently has over 50,000 apps available. While this is less than what Apple has, the rate of growth will only continue to grow as Android gets more popular, and as more and more developers leave Apple's strict closed development system for Android's open system.
I have a Motorala Droid, and Android offers every app that I need. I used to have an iPhone, but I got sick of ATT's lousy coverage in my area, so when my contract expired, I left them and got the Droid on Verizon. After using my Droid for a few months now, my old iPhone feels like a toy compared to this.
Don't get me wrong, the iPhone is a great device and some people prefer the simplicity of it, but you really can do so much more with Android.
I know of between 8-12 people who, like me, wanted iPhones, but didn't want to switch to AT&T. I'm only the third to give in. Once Apple fixes a few more of the glitches/oversights, there will probably be a couple more.
If Verizon had made the deal, people would have been switching and porting at even higher numbers than are happening now. Switching to AT&T? PM me for a $25 gift card!
I too will be making the switch from Verizon. My contract is up on August 7th. Should I go to the AT&T store and order the iphone now so that I can activate it when my Verizon contract is up or will AT&T make me sign a contract that starts right away?

I ordered through the AT&T store, and didn't sign anything (except the CC slip), and won't until the phone is in my grubby little hands.
This billing cycle with Verizon ends on the 26th, and I'm hoping and praying that I'll be able to port by then. Switching to AT&T? PM me for a $25 gift card!
DONT SWITCH FROM VERIZON! The new BB Thunder (all touch screen) is coming out by the end of the year. I would hold off for it, if I didn't already have the iphone.
It is suppose to be awesome. LOL, time will tell... I was very happy with Verizon and had been with them for the past six years but I made the switch in order to get the iphone and I'm glad that I did. I'm in a 3G area and haven't had a single dropped call, get great reception, and so far no complaints related to AT&T.
You can always go back to Verizon if you're not happy but you may be locked in to a new two year commitment with them at that point. DONT SWITCH FROM VERIZON! The new BB Thunder (all touch screen) is coming out by the end of the year.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
