I used ATT U-Verse for 12 months at my last house. Install took about 6 hours (their field tech did all the work), but I LOVED the service. I was skeptical giving up my Comcast "high speed" service, but the U-Verse internet access turned out great.
Never had any service issues, speed was great and it was less expensive than Comcast. Wish it was available where I live now.

ATT DSL is no comparison to a cable connection. From latency, to dependability, to consistency of bandwidth any cable service is better than DSL in my experiences with dealing with both many times. PPPOE is just a bad algorithm to start with, which is the protocol that all DSL(s) use.
More like the quickest way to lose customers and get your ass handed to you by a newcomer (looking at google). They had hourly internet access back in the early/mid 90's and most of those companies aren't around. AT&T is doing this cause their network is getting thrashed.
It honestly is the future unless every other carrier is willing to stand up to it.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
