My favorite places to get pizza are Joe's Pizza in Bleecker St and Justino's Pizza in 58th St. I usually get pepperoni and a margherita pizza but I would say that a plain slice would be $2.50. They are other pizza places that would sell their slice of cheese pizza for a $1.00. Ray's Pizza in 54th and Broadway would be one of them.
If you want a 'regular' NY Pizza (not any gourmet goat cheese & truffles) you can go to just about any non-chain place and get a great pizza. I did like the pizza at Rossa's They have a place in Maspeth Queens and one in Penn Station (now that was years ago, not sure if they are still there) ANd its not the water that makes a NY pizza good. You can go to Long Island, NYC, NJ and they all have vastly different water, yet the pizza is great.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
