The military aspect of it is already underway as the rebels are fully committed to battle. Foreign governments should stay out of the crisis. Non-government organizations can provide assistance to refugees.
If Americans or Europeans want to help the Libyan rebels, they should get on a plane, go to Libya, and join in the fight themselves. Lots of American private citizens joined in the Spanish Civil War of the 1930s.
We should be letting countries settle their own civil wars. It isn't the worlds business what happens inside a country when it comes to leadership. We are fed what the media wants us to hear but if these leaders are so badly hated why do they have so many faithful followers?
When someone is entrenched for 42 years in office and will not let it go for any reason, then absolutely it is the best solution. In this case, the Rebels MUST lead. Any foreign intervention has to be minor and complimentary to the rebel forces (i.e.
Air Strikes, Supply Drops, Humanitarian efforts). Other than military? I suppose wait til he dies and then push for the rebellion but who knows when that could be.
Military attack on Lybia - it's like, when you hear loud screams from neighborhood house, take your shotgun and decide things with bullets...1. Who exactly knows what happens in Libyan Jamaheria? Also who knows if Rebels or Gaddafi "good" or "bad"?2.
Strange behavior for countries that are involved in this, they act like barbarians and not socially or democratically.3. Military attack can't be solution, because there are civilians dying!
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
