They might be. But NO, it is not justified. In Rwanda, back in the 90's, hundreds of thousands were killed in a RAPID and brutal genocide.
We didn't seem to care much about that. The situation in Libya PALES in comparison, but.. what's the difference, here? WHY the greater concern with regards to THIS particular African country?
Well, Libya just happens to sit on the Earth's 9th largest OIL RESERVE. A cynical perspective? Not in the least.
When one looks at our major (and even many of our more minor) military involvements since World War II, we see that they have mostly been directed towards TWO aims: restricting Communist influence (this is mostly in the past), and securing oil-producing regions (very much the present). The Will of the People in the countries concerned has always been a literal NON-concern, but at present, their plight will be marketed to the American public as a reason for military action. I regard this deception and manipulation as a literal crime against humanity.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
