No. A variety of manual techniques are used by the therapist which are guided by the scale of 1-10 in patient discomfort. It is important to remember to always communicate with your therapist.
Only enough pressure should be used to produce a mild to moderate state of discomfort (5,6,7). Only a "feel good pain" is acceptable. The "no pain, no gain" concept does not have any benefit in NMT.
I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
